When High Dive Advertising needed to streamline content production and reduce costs to develop their #RamWillTowThat social media campaign, they called on Mode Project.
The eight VFX spots were seen on Ram’s social channels during NFL Sunday Night Football games and used team-specific jokes, controversies and topics as visual gags which could be towed by Ram Trucks.
Mode Project rotoscoped and camera-tracked the background plate so that 2D images could be composited into the master scene quickly and efficiently. Each week, Mode Project worked with Highdive to select an image that had the proper perspective and lighting for integrating into the scene. To keep the spots fresh and timely, a quick turnaround for the production schedule was needed. Compositing was done on Mondays, agency review and VO record on Tuesdays, revisions, retrack, and client posting on Wednesdays, with delivery on Friday mornings.
