Storytelling In A Time Of Crisis

Five musicians of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra reflect on the current hiatus from performing live at Symphony Center in our latest video content collaboration with the CSO.

In order to avoid a physical location shoot, we constructed this piece from images curated from CSO’s library. Audio was captured via Zoom.

Thanks again for the fantastic job... it’s so sincere and heartfelt, and so wonderfully matched with the music. Giant kudos.

In order to find the story, we emailed a wide range of potential CSO storytellers a set of written questions, selected the most compelling responses, then edited and sculpted them into a cohesive narrative script, with each “part” re-read by the individual respondents themselves.

This approach, compared to pre-interviewing and extensive audio editing, was an efficient way to achieve both story focus and authenticity.
